Not sure how you guys make your lunch, buying some “take-out”, salad or MacDonald…? Let’s look how Japanese prepare their Bentō (lunch box). To me, that is so cute and I even don’t want to eat them. They are a piece of art instead of just food in some ways. Just wonder how long actually take them to make that.
Bentō (べんとう ) is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional Bentō consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish.Although Bentō is readily available in many places throughout Japan, including convenience stores, Bentō shops, train stations, and department stores, it is still common for Japanese homemakers to spend considerable time and energy producing an appealing boxed lunch.
It is also said when a girl tires to express her feeling to a boy, she usually made a special-loving Bentō to him. If that boy accepts the Bentō, it means he also likes that girl. Hence, almost every girl in Japan know how to make an appealing Bentō.
I listed 50 examples of those cute Bentō. So enjoy your visual feast.
