Hermès Birkin Bag is a line of tote bags by the French luxury goods maker Hermès. Birkin bags are handmade from leather and are named after the English actress and singer Jane Birkin. Introduced in the 1980s, the bag quickly became a symbol of wealth and exclusivity due to its high price and assumed long waiting lists.
For many of us, there is less chance that we will own an authentic Hermès Birkin Bag. So, artist Ben Denzer decides to redesign of the bag is a more green and affordable way. Although, I don’t think the redesigned bag has some practical usage, it is a fresh and playful twist of the expensive bag.
In this creative project, Denzer whipped up these vegetable versions of the iconic, high-end accessory by arranging asparagus stalks, cucumber slices, cabbage leaves, green onion, and apples into a trio you’d be more likely to find in the produce aisle than a luxury shop.
