In a harmonious blend of artistic vision and philanthropy, House of Today, a Lebanese non-profit, has orchestrated a captivating collaboration. Teaming up with ten local designers, including the creative minds of Richard Yasmine and Nada Debs, they’ve birthed a unique, limited-edition collection named The Candle Project.
Unveiled on November 20th, 2023, this exceptional assemblage of sculptural candles is not just an aesthetic feast but a beacon of hope. Crafted by skilled artisans at the Centre Hospitalier Beit Chabeb, these candles transcend mere wax and wick, morphing into intricate artworks.
From Aline Asmar dâAmman’s architectural marvel, “Aspiration,” featuring winding staircases, to LimbObject’s surreal entanglement of hands and arms, each piece is a testament to boundless creativity. The Candle Project isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a profound initiative. Proceeds from this artistic endeavor will contribute to the Beit Chabeb village and its commendable initiatives, as well as support the ten brilliant Lebanese designers. Moreover, it fuels House of Today’s mentorship program, nurturing Lebanon’s burgeoning design talent. Despite the challenging times, these sculptural candles stand tall, symbolizing resilience, creativity, and the enduring spirit of Lebanese artistry.
