CUBAN-BORN ARTIST Elsa Mora creates intricate, often profound, sometimes whimsical paper cuts, paintings, drawings and sculptures. When I first saw Elsita’s art, I can’t stop starÂing at these meticÂuÂlously detailed, and thereÂfore labor-intensive, paper cuts.
All papercuts require an obsessive attention to detail, but Elsa Mora’s beautiful pieces are almost three dimensional in their intricacy. Mora manages to create texture and depth in a difficult medium, and the end results are nothing short of stunning. Each detailed creation was carefully hand cut using a sharp knife and a self-healing cutting mat. You can find more on her website and her etsy store.
