The Pod fogponics system is conceived by a group of students at the Victoria University of Auckland, is a thoughtful indoor gardening system expands on the trend of growing herbs and veggies in smaller, urban dwellings by making it easier than ever to share and trade produce with friends and neighbors- literally cultivating a sense of community!
The Pod fogponics system uses an ultrasonic fogger to create 5-10 micron particles of vaporized nutrient solution within the center of the unit. A microprocessor controls the fan, which manages the fog levels in the pods, and an additional switch allows users to to the level up when new pods are placed on the base unit. With pod, a person is able to grow a plant from seeds, simply by placing them on a mesh basket and turning it on. Moreover, the removable container are perfect for trading with friends or creating a custom gift that you’ve grown yourself.
