Designed in Sonoma Valley, California, the Altwork station redefine how your computer and workstation work with you. It all started with a back injury which prevented the co-founder of Altwork, John Speicher, from working at a computer. But it also gave him the idea for this awesome invention which allows you to work in four different positions, from standing to lying down. It is designed specifically for someone who heavily work with computer such as CAD engineers, financial traders, animators, technical writers, to support
you in being more productive, comfortable, and healthy.
The desk surface itself is metal, and so your keyboard along with your mouse or trackpad cling there with magnets underneath. Similarly, any paperwork you might want to keep to hand can be clipped there. All of the controls are embedded in a small panel on the upper left side of the desk surface. There are preset buttons for different positions or hold the crossponding adjusting buttons to find your prefect position. There are also an “escape” button to take it back to the default setting. Starting with $3,900, this American-made, commercial grade desk isn’t cheap for many of us. But it is probably very welcomed by those high-intensity computer user.
