“Les Terraces des Cedres” is not just a tower, nor simply a tall residential building. It is a 117 meter-tall residential tower in lausanne, switzerland and at the same time be home more than 100 trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 plants (3,000 square meters of greenery in total). Those “vertical forest” will protect the apartments inside from harsh winds, dust, and noise pollution, and will offer a more pleasant view of the city. Last but not least, this tower is not a concept, it is set to get underway in 2017 by an Italian architect Stefano Boeri which has completed two similar 112 meter building in Milan previously.
