“The Furry Thing” is a series of illustrations about some really textured, fluffy and playful cats that drew by Malaysian artist Kamwei Fong. Using only fine-line pen, Fong draw those cats by shading with tons of tiny furs and cats are crafted in such a way that each one displays a unique, playful personality. Moreover, these lines are varied in size and density to slowly build volume and texture in order to create a “furry” looking. It is indeed a very time consuming process. Small ones like A3 could take a few days, big ones like 25×37 inches could take a few weeks.
