Looking at the fruits and vegetables below, you might think they seems a bit dehydrated but definitely edible. However, these are actually made out of paper. Using careful layers of paint, the Ann Wood captures the varied colors and textures of fruits and vegetables and successfully created things like fuzzy peaches, russeted apples, soil-topped beets, and fresh cut watermelon. According to Ann, “Creating out of paper garden vegetables and food from the grocery store as become one of my passions. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to translate common materials into almost real looking objects. Branches, roots and subtle textures found in nature fascinate me and on occasion I see humor in their forms.”
