Years ago, we featured some cool cardboard animal wall trophies from Cardboard Safari to show the alternative animal-friendly options of trophies. Although these beautifully laser cut wall decorations are a striking visual statement already, some people might still think the brown, plain cardboard trophies are not cool enough for their wall. And now, Cardboard Safari released another awesome set that has deer, moose, and bear animal heads in the intriguing Native American art print.
The intricate patterns of these designs were created by Leah Yellowbird, a native American artist based in Minnesota. Originally as a traditional bead-worker, Yellowbird identifies strongly with her First Nations Algonquin-Metis and Anishinaabe heritage. At a young age, Yellowbird learned from her extended family how to follow traditional beading patterns and has been working in this medium her entire life. This knowledge, combined with her creative eye and exploration of color, has spilled over into the realm of painting, and she is now well-regarded for her work in all mediums.
Take a look at these incredible animal heads you can buy the large size one with 80 USD and medium size with 60 USD here. If want to see more of Yellowbird’s beed style artwork, click here to head over to her site.
