Designed by Ambidestro Arquitetura, Anita Apartment is a 70m2 apartment located in Porto Alegre, South Brazil. 70m2 isn’t that spacious especially if you want to it can take care of all the daily necessities of its residents. But apparently, the owner wants to privilege the breadth without giving up the design and functionality that an apartment of this size must anticipate.
A central island is designed to accommodate both living and dining in a single furnishing, making the environment wider. Since the owner loves to entertain, the social area was designed to from a linear furniture that doubles as a sofa and bench for dinner from a table attached to the furniture. To offer enough storage, a good amount of closets are custom built, starting from soon in the circulation and finish at the end of the first room – office. A composition of light and dark materials is used to give the perfect harmony between tones in space. Noble materials such as natural wood, Italian Carrara marble, oxidized sheets and leather make up the settings of the timeless apartment.
