Situated above the Atlantic Ocean, the Scottish Highlands are majestic lands where is scarcely populated by people but towering mountains, yawning fields of grass, placid lochs instead. Airship 002, a tiny, submarine-like home is a perfect place where you can plant yourself, as you explore and hike throughout the sea of grass and immense mountain range.
Designed by Roderick James Architects to evoke a sentiment of nautical nostalgia, the home is shaped as a submarine/ship. The west wing of the domed domicile provides a glorious view towards unspoiled bounty of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and the Atlantic Ocean. The East Wing looks out onto the Sound of Mull, towards Tobermory (the Isle of Mull). The whole place is mainly built with insulated aluminium and equipped with galley, double bed, shower, flush wc, spring water, mains electricity, balcony and sitting area. Right now, you can book this unqiue place on airbnb around 200 USD/per night. Not that bad right?
