If you are a skipping read, then you will find problem with Codex – a five-page puzzle book that won’t let you read next page unless you’re smart enough to unlock the current page. The laser-cut, hand-crafted, five-page wooden book is created by industrial designer Brady Whitney, who’s successfully raised funds for the project through Kickstarter ($168,182 pledged of $30,000 goal actually!).
Generally, Codex is a book features five intricate puzzles and user has to solve the puzzle before he/she can move to next page. As the puzzler moves through the book, a story begins to unfold, depicting the story of an apprentice in Da Vinci’s Workshop who encounters the same Codex. However in the story the Codex acts as a trap set by Da Vinci to capture any would be spies/snoopy apprentices in order to protect his work. The only way to escape is to solve each of the puzzles before the master returns from his trip. Sounds challenging? Want to give a try? Check their Kickstarter page and put yourself on the waiting list.
