A piece of Amsterdam’s busy Schiphol airport was refreshed by Dutch designers Tjep – the Schiphol Departure Lounge 4. The starting point of the project was to convey the feeling of a cozy neighborhood rather than a huge international airport. For the seating area, Tjep integrated Joep van Lieshout’s sofa design for Lensvelt, spread out like a beautiful fresh green grass landscape. Because the lounge does not have a view on planes, a couple of specially designed plane benches were added. Love the vivid color and geometric furniture pieces. Looks like a lovely and cozy place where travelers can enjoy spending the time before the flight. [source]
