Called “Parade“, this interactive art installation is designed by Dpt. and Laurent Craste for the Chromatic festival in Montreal. The installation is placed inside a wooden cube with two porcelain vases lie on a white dresser. An industrial light is hanging in front of vases and highlights vases’ shadows on the wall. Nothing looks special untill someone pushes the light, the shadows of the vases come to life and animate, as if by magic, to the rhythm of the swinging light source. And the real secret to make all those happen is the hidden projector which tracks the yellow light, getting coordinates (X, Y, Z) that are reproduced in a 3D environment to generate the dancing shadow.
