Carl Warner is a London-based photographer who uses fresh fruit, vegetables and meat to create foodscape and bring his imagination to life. Mr Warner starts work by drawing his ideas on paper. He then buys the produce and spends between one and three days assembling it with the help of pins and superglue. After photographing those setup layer after layer, he assembles them into one image in post-production which creates those dreamy landscapes and homey domestic scenes.
In Warner’s latest book “A World of Food (amazon)” presents 12 of his amazing pictures – playful verse accompanies each image, guiding viewers through the pictures and inviting them to figure out the various foods used. And the idea behind that is to encourage healthier eating among younger children. Such a wonderful book for parents and children to look through together.
