This 1,075 square-foot apartment located in earl District, Portland, Oregon doesn’t sound that small. While to satisfied owner’s needs and provide a fresh new space she would like, designers from Jessica Helgerson Interior do a quite great job. Working with a highly curated and restrained material palette of warm, muted colors like off-white, light gray, and pale pinks, the whole places feel soft, warm, neutral and cozy.
A giant built-in sofa allows our client to welcome large groups of friends, and a cozy “rainy day nook”, it can also double as a guest bedroom. The bedroom is entirely paneled, with storage behind all walls. A minimalist material palette and a display wall of storage and open nooks, allows our art-loving client to easily update and change the decor. The use of whole wall mirror creates the illusion and makes the place bright and spacious.
Besides the harmonious selection of furniture and lighting fixture, tons of storage is another impression I have. They are not just storage, similar style and knobs give the room a consistant look and make the place even neat and clutter-free.
