These days, swine flu is a hot word everywhere. Personally, I don’t think it is a big deal. Every year, there are around 36000 people died due to flu in US. Why we overreact to this “flu”? And actually some cartoonists have the same ideas like me…. They either make fun of the overreaction of media or try to use some funny way to present it so it is not that horrible.
This cartoon by Peter Brookes at TimesOnline shows Gordon Brown (top left) and members of his government wearing masks (to protect them from swine flu). They are trying to speak but can only utter unrecognizable sounds because of the masks. A pig in the final panel comments “Every cloud … !”
“Every cloud has a silver lining”. There is something good even in an unpleasant situation. The cartoonist jokes that one of the positive points of the swine flu outbreak is that we won’t have to listen to what the members of the government are saying.

Translation: “Have you been in contact with a pig recently?”
As two best friends wandered through the snow on their way home, Piglet grinned to himself, thinking how lucky he was to have a best friend like Pooh.
Pooh thought to himself:”If the pig sneezes, he’s ……….dead.
