Lisa Ericson is not only known about her hyper-realistic painting, but also wild imagination which either hybrids imaginary animals or put them outside of their natural environments.
No matter it is coral fish or turtle island, when you look at these hyper-realistic paintings about fantastical combinations of plants and animals, you might wonder that they are actually real and do exist in the nature. Each detail is seriously taken care of, the feature, the fur, the wrinkle, the ripple and even the shinning in the eye. I didn’t even notice that is painting and thought that is just some clever photo manipulation. But when I found out it is literally drawing, I am blown off.
