Lorenzo Durán is a self-taught artist currently lives and works in Guadalajara, Spain. There are carvers with their wood, sculptors who labor over a piece of wood, and Lorenzo use leaves as a medium of artistic impression. Lorenzo picks the perfect leaf and then washes, dries, molds and gently cuts away at it until he makes beautiful art. It’s an interesting technique based on paper-cutting in China, Japan, Germany and Switzerland. Consider how fragile and crumbly dried leaves are, mad skills and patience are essential to create any of works below. [source]
