Japan is always a crazy and amazing place for me. I have been impressed / surprised once and once again by their wild creation and imagination. And today, I just heard another unusal creation – KitKat Sushi Bar. To celebrate the opening of a new Kit Kat store in Ginza, Nestle will begin offer Kit Kat sushi box for a limited time.
As reported, the bars come in three flavors, which fortunately don’t taste anything like the varieties of sushi they’re modeled to look like, except seaweed. The pink one is the tuna sushi but it is actually tastes like raspberry. The yellow seaweed wrapped sushi omelet is really a pumpkin pudding KitKat. And the last sea urchin sushi is a Hokkaido melon with mascarpone cheese KitKat. And of course, if the fishy ingredients are not fishy anymore, you shouldn’t expect the rice is still same. In face, puffed rice with white chocolate and a hint of wasabi is used to replace the normal sushi rice. I can’t tell whether it is a nightmare or sweet dream since most of us won’t even have the chance to taste it – this special edition will cost around $26 and is only available from February 2 to February 4.
