‘The Identity Collection‘, the beautiful collection presented in this post is created by Edinburgh, Scotland based Sculptor Alasdair Thomson. It is essentially a series of feminine dresses carved that carved from Carrera Marble, the same material as the world’s most famous naked statue – Michelangelo’s David. Starting out as a solid mass of marble that can weigh several tons, Thomson patiently chiseled and sculpted it to create those soft and airy looking dresses. However, these sleek summer dresses will never be worn even though they are so realistic that viewers will likely try on them.
