Not sure whether inspired by the movie Monsters Inc, Lima-based graphic designer and illustrator Jose Arias has created a wacky cast of fuzzy, cuddling typographic monsters. Often smirking or baring a couple of teeth, Arias’s letter-based characters are not only cute but in trend. Big headphone, colorful hat, golden crown, coiffed hair.
Making use of these props and the gestures of the monster, Jose cleverly created this “full of hair and cuteness of characters” alphabetic collection. These monsters are listed below according to their alphabet order. Take a look and see would you be able to figure it out. Some of them are pretty obvious, while some are a bit hard. Like the letter “b”, at least I didn’t get it until I saw the title.
