You are right! The flower is floating in the water! But how that is possible? The fact is, they are not really floating in the water, they just placed in a ripple shaped vase/plates which give the illusion that the blooms have figured out how to defy gravity. Developed by Japanese product design firm, Oodesign, the lightweight vases have a small slit in the center, in which a single flower can be placed. The stems stick through the bottom, and directly into the larger bowl, so that the process of water absorption isn’t interrupted. And since the flower is not actually fixed – they just float nonchalantly on the water, which means they can change their position and appearance in accordance with the movement of the air.
