If you have been with out site long enough, you probably will remember Ben Heine, one of our favorite artists, who blends photography and pencil sketches to create imaginary scenes. In his well-received series titled Pencil Vs Camera, the multifaceted artist holds up his cleverly imaginative sketches drawn on torn sheets of paper, whose frame aligns perfectly with the underlying photograph. Alarmingly accurate and crisply focused, the series puts great care in the alignment and perspective required to successfully pull off the optical illusion. Heine creates seemingly effortless snapshots that are highly imaginative and contextual. In this post, we rounded up animal related work from Heine’s project. Let’s enjoy Ben’s imaginary animal kingdom. [source]
