With all those modern technology, snail mail has evolved into something of a bespoke hobby for those that cherish the handwritten word and the same stamp has become something mostly be collected instead of using. To encourage people using mail, UK’s Royal Mail work with some design companies to product special envelopes and postage stamps. One of the successful example is the below set of six animal stamps were designed by London design house Osborne Ross. Unlike the ordinary square-ish stamp, this series feature animals whose limbs fold over the edge of the envelope – the creatures’ hands, feet or tails are designed to fold around the edge of envelopes, giving people the illusion that they are holding on to the post. It is quite cute and perfect for kids writing thank-you notes or grown-ups wanting to incorporate color into a special piece of mail.
