Before the lockdown, Rich McCor is known for playfully transforming global landmarks with his paper cut-outs (previous, previous). While during the Covid, he was forced to stay at home like many of us. So he can’t play with landmark anymore but started to look around home and seek for new inspiration. And here is his new collection, silhouettes that interact with various objects around his home.
According to McCor “I usually work with architecture and forced perspective. But I realized that there were plenty of opportunities to create images around the house with the same sense of humor and surprise as my exterior photos, so I used the theme of movies as a starting point and then let myself get carried away with it.” From Indiana Jones to Matrix, from James bond to pirates of the Caribbean, McCor’s indoor series showcases his boundless imagination.
