Founded by Zach Rotholz, Chairigami produces furniture made entirely out of triple-wall cardboard, which means it is recyclable, lightweight, flat-packed, and easy to assemble. Right now, this cardboard furniture line covers sofas, desk chairs, standing desks, coffee tables and shelving. The chairs last about a year, while the tables can make it up to four years. No glues or fasteners are necessary to put the recyclable items together–they all just fit into slots. So if you are looking for some furniture to be packed in and packed out quickly, that might be an option for you.

Cool! Makes me want to try some of these furniture myself. Reminds me of the youtube vid of the guy who made a functional bike out of cardboard, who, in turn, took cue from another guy who made a functional canoe out of the same material (not saying that either should be now suing Zach! It’s probably just another case of “multiple discovery”).
