What’s this? A female praying mantis sits on a leaf?
In fact, it is a piece of Origami Art from Sipho Mabona, taking him 20 hours of solid folding.
We like playing with paper since we are kids and we have seen lots of impressive work people did via using simply paper, such as paper city, paper toy and paper sculpture. While for Sipho, he was really good at folding those amazing insects, birds and folded fish are so detailed they are almost capable of fooling the naked eye into thinking they are real.
He has been exhibited in galleries in Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Spain and France. He created an entire origami room for Asics during the World Athletics Championships in Berlin.
You can see more of his work at his website or at his Flickr photostream.
