“Vessels and Blooms” is an incredible photo series of high speed photographs of splashing liquids that resemble flowers in vases created by Milwaukee-based photographed Jack Long. Long uses water mixed with thickeners, pigments and dyes. The paint is suspended in air for a split second and he uses an electronic flash to get the moment just right, which might take months of trial and error to perfect. He said: “I love working with liquids because of their incredible versatility when creating high speed photography.” And most importantly, all of Long’s fluid flowers are as captured. Photoshop is only used to ‘clean up’ the image and to enhance the image with basic tools. Really impressive and original work!

These are unbelievable! I cannot comprehend how much effort and time it took to come up with these. Lovely, too!
